At the opening ceremony of IAALD-AFITA-WCCA 2008

CIMG5560 The World Conference on Agricultural Information and Information Technology (IAALD-AFITA-WCCA 2008) kicks off at the Atsugi Campus of the Tokyo University. The three day event is attended by over 200 participants from 42 different countries. The conference covers wide range of topics related to agricultural information and application of agricultural technologies. The next three days will see 4 keynotes and 29 regular sessions. I will be posting regularly from the conference.
Peter Ballantyne, the president of IAALD, posed the following "Atsugi Question" for the participants: How can we make agricultural information and IT truly accessible?
