Online E-Conference on Agricultural Learning Repositories Task Force

The Agricultural Learning Resources Task Force E-Conference is now in Phase 5. The discussions so far have been extremely interesting with partners providing their insight into various issues related to the management of Agricultural Learning Repositories. Over 110 participants have registered to this conference from all parts of the world. The e-Conference is divided into Phases (or sessions) of about 1 week each:

  • Phase 1 -- 24-27 April 2008: Introductions, stage setting [Moderated by: Gauri Salokhe]
  • Phase 2 -- 28 April - 4 May 2008: Understanding and expectations from learning resources for agricultural & rural communities [Moderated by: Nikos Manouselis]
  • Phase 3 -- 5-11 May 2008: Repositories with open educational resources for agriculture & rural development [Moderated by: Amee Evans Godwin]
  • Phase 4 -- 12-18 May 2008: Metadata & ontologies for agricultural learning resources [Moderated by: Jehad Najjar]
  • Phase 5 -- 19-25 May 2008: Tools and technologies for agricultural learning repositories [Moderated by: Jean-Claude Dauphin]
  • Phase 6 -- 25 May - 1 June 2008: Promotion & use of agricultural learning repositories and Agricultural Open Education Resources [Moderated by: Krishna Alluri and Wayne Mackintosh]
  • Phase 7 -- 2-5 June 2008: Closing, next steps [Moderated by: Gauri Salokhe]

A report from the E-Conference will summarise the issues and points raised by the participants.
