CGIAR Knowledge Sharing Workshop @ ILRI

The F2F part of the CGIAR Knowledge Sharing Workshop took place in Addis last week. Approximately 21 of us from various CGIAR institutes, FARA and FAO attended the 3 day event. The meeting was designed to help us learn various knowledge sharing tools and methods, some of which are documented in the KS-Toolkit.

The KS Workshop Gang

Back Row (left to right): Nadia Manning (ICT-KM), Peter Shelton (IFPRI), Daniel Mwesige (ASARECA), Nancy White (FullCircles), Jean Hanson (ILRI), Grace Ndungu (ILRI), Petr Kosina (CIMMYT)

Middle Row: Yuan Octafian (CIFOR), Alexandra Jorge (ILRI), Nicole Demers (Bioversity), Vanessa Meadu (ICRAF), Selam Alemayehu (ILRI), Maria Grazia Bovo (FAO), Florencia Tateossian (CGIAR Secretariat), Janice Proud (ILRI), Dady Damby (FARA)
Front Row: Simone Staiger-Rivas (ICT-KM), Sandra Velarde (Amazon Initiative), Dina Satrio (CIFOR), Gauri Salokhe (FAO), Davy Simumba (ZARI).

We tried new methods such as the World Cafe' and Fish Bowl to discuss issues. The whole meeting was extremely interactive (and without any PPT!). There was also lot of discussion around Tools and Technology to facilitate knowledge sharing. One of the outcomes of this workshop for me is that I am hooked onto FlickR! Thanks Vanessa for all the tips!
